different shoestrings
My husband and I attended a lecture a few years ago by a travel director on traveling on a shoestring. She talked about taking only 1 suitcase and small enough to be a carry on, how to pack so that you only brought a few changes of clothing and 2 pair of underwear (wash one, wear one) 2 pair of shoes and no beauty products like makeup. My husband was insistent we try it on our next trip. Luckily it was to South Dakota, although I did bring makeup. When we were planning our trip to Rome, I insisted we choose from the cheap Rome hotels, showing him that it was another way to travel on a shoestring.
