Is the iPhone bad for AT&T?
With Apple having their fourth quarter conference call, many analysts have been saying that Apple has nothing to worry about in regards to the declining economy. But as for AT&T, it may be a whole different story. With AT&T supplying subsidies in order to reduce the price of the iPhone, several iPhone News analysts have stated that in the long term, the iPhone is a bad thing for AT&T. Why so? It is because they are so heavily dependent on the product. More than half of the profits they received in the fourth quarter were due to iPhone sales. If Verizon get the iPhone in the future, AT&T will be in a world of hurt.
