Basement System Waterproofing - Sometimes the Problem Is Not in the Basement
Even in an excellently constructed basement that has been properly sealed off with basement system waterproofing, water can still penetrate the walls and floor. This is often because there’s too much water pressure from the outside. In these cases, the landscape around the home slopes towards the home, causing water pressure on the basement walls. In other cases, it may be your gutter downspouts that are the enemy.
If you’re tried everything to waterproof the basement and water still seeps into it, you should consider sodding around your home so that it slopes away from your basement instead of toward it.
