Healthy Food Doesn’t Taste Good
Are you one of the many people that thing that healthy foods taste gross? Sure, some of what has been served as health food (think wheat grass juice) doesn’t exactly appeal to my tastebuds either, but healthy foods can taste really good.
Start by choosing fresh ingredients. Visit your local farmers market or buy directly through a farm coop in your area. I know people who can’t stand tomatoes, but once they tasted one fresh of the vine in my garden, they were converted and now love those types of tomatoes.
Try different types of fruits and vegetables. Just because you are not a broccoli fan, doesn’t mean you can’t find quite a few vegetables that you enjoy eating.
Try different ways to prepare those healthy foods. You may not like poached fish, but may enjoy it when grilled. Top your veggies with some shredded cheese and they take on a completely different taste. Play with your healthy foods and find ways to prepare them that taste good to you.
