Curing a Sinus Headache

Sinusitis is also called Rhinosinusitis or nasal congestion. It has been found that many people have been diagnosed with sinusitis when what they actually have is a nasal allergy or a severe cold. Experts say that such pseudo-sinusitis symptoms would disappear in a week or so and they should not be mistaken for sinusitis. There are also cases when a true sinus headache maybe dismissed as ordinary headache or the result of an allergy. To avoid all this mayhem, the foremost steps in detecting sinusitis should be to rule out other possible causes of symptoms and then find out the following – the site of infection; the severity of the patient’s condition – acute or chronic and then, the organism causing the infection. All these checks would help the doctor in diagnosing if you have a sinus headache or not.
