Come common arthritis medicine for dogs.
Buck is a Bassett hound. We recently took him to a veterinarian because he could not walk. We found out that he had deterioration in his spine. This is commonly called arthritis and many dogs in their middle age can get it. Arthritis can affect any joint in a dogs body, but normally affects the hips.
If a dog is diagnosed with arthritis treatment usually consists of medication and sometimes physical therapy. Arthritis medications are used to prevent or minimize cartilage degeneration and encourage tissue repair and the dogs joints.
Some arthritis medicine for dogs are Capofen, Palaprin, and Polysulfated Glycosaminoglycan.
They gave buck a steroid and some physical therapy which seems to have done the trick.
