Can I use one of my own tattoo designs

I wouldn’t say I’m an artist or even a designer. However, when I couldn’t quite find exactly what I was looking for with regards to art for the new tattoo I want I took matters into my hands. I went to the store and bough my first sketch book and throughout the 50 pages began sketching out the possibilities of what I wanted. Now that I have the tattoo designs that I want I’m not exactly sure what to do. Can I just take my tattoo designs into the shop and they can re-create it to work and make a stencil? I guess the best thing to do would be to go in and talk to them.
